Is there a way to fix a bulging disk?

When i enlisted for the army everything was fine so i was doing a lot of physical exercise to prepare for BCT (Basic Training), i was running about 2 miles a day then doing push-ups and lifting weights (I would have every other day off sometimes.) and then i went to a chiropractor and had him adjust me because i was having minor back pain... if felt like i needed to pop it. The next day after the adjustment i woke up and could hardly move... I got an MRI and they told me i had a bulging disk at L4-L5 (or something like that)... Is there any way to fix this so i can go to basic with out any problems. i leave for basic June of 2011.. By the way, when i am physically active it feels better but i am afraid i am just injuring it more.
