Can someone review my introduction paragraph for my essay and tell me if I have a thesis?

Both D’Souza and McKibben discuss economic growth in their writings although they look at the same “more is better” topic in different ways. In D’Souza’s essay, “Becoming American” you are given his view on what the typical American Dream is, economic growth equals success, which is happiness. He explains that the reason why many immigrants come to the United States is money. However, McKibben says that we no longer have enough energy to continue with economic growth (11). Fossil fuels are rapidly being depleted and have been a major cause in global warming. While reviewing both readings we are left with a conflict of whether the demising fossil fuels and global warming will affect the American Dream.
