What specifically is the "change" that Obama will be bringing to the United States?

Is it reducing taxes for the middle-cl and increasing taxes on those who earn more than middle-cl? I don't consider myself an expert in politics, but it seems to me that this philosophy has been touted, and even implemented, in other presidencies (I know I'll be corrected if I'm wrong). So is this what the "change" is about, or is there more to it? I would seriously like to understand this change Obama speaks of before I vote, because so far I have not heard specifics from his supporters.
