OK mammas' i have a question for you!?

I dont under stand why my child will not stay asleep at night. Hes 9 months old and he has never done this before. He will get up like five time in the middle of the night. when he gets up he wants to play and throws a fit when i dont let him. There is no rocking him back to sleep...he arches his back and spits. the only thing i can do is give him a bottle. This occupies him and soothes him back to sleep. So my question is why is he doing this and what can i do to make it better. oh and i know its not because im not feeding him enough...he eats alot at night.
