Eclipse turbo problems..?

an easy way to check the turbo is to first take the intake hose off then reach your fingers into the inlet of the turbo and grab the turbo shaft, push the shaft in and out and then up and down, a little movement in and out is fine but you get and significant movement up and down it means your bearings are bad and therefore your turbo. it sounds to me like a boostleak or possible vacuum lines not hooked up to your wastegate correctly, you should be able to go to any reputable shop and ask for a boostleak test for pretty cheap which will also tell you if you have any vacuum lines unhooked.
